The Story of Jonah
God told Jonah, His friend to go to Ninevah and tell the people there that they are heading for some rough times if they do not straighten up and fly right. Jonah did not want to go so he left in the opposite direction on a boat. There was such a big storm and Jonah knew it was because he disobeyed God. So the boat director threw him off the boat right into the path of a very hungry whale. After three days the whale spit him out. It was very troubling and Jonah was shaking in his boots. God did tell him again to go to Ninevah and save the people or they will be punished for being so bad. Now Jonah was happy to go and after telling the people how good God is and that He loves them so much, the people were sorry and asked God to forgive them.
The times we are in right now could be compared to the Bible times.
2nd Chronicles 7:14 says "if my people who belong to Me will humbly pray ,seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven forgive their sin and heal their land. " How about this promise?
